Greetings Fellow Space Travelers, Happy Freyja’sDay!
((((How are You All?))))
I dunno about you, but it’s been a bit weird, and wobbly – sort of soggy-grey, awkward feeling week. The kind of week where, even though nothing particularly negative, or painful happened (to me directly), there was still this over-lying blanket of weariness and grief.
This was the kind of week where I got stuck by drawbridges twice. Once trying to get to work, and another trying to get home. The second time, was at 8:30pm after classes, for almost 40 minutes as I was trying to get home to an already delayed supper. Although, as a friend pointed out, at least I had it on the right radio station – WWOZ
The kind of week where I had time to myself to watch “Moana” at 6:30 on a Tuesday morning, and was so grateful I was alone because I cried almost all the way through it. Later, I consoled myself by saying it was, “like a lite-version of ‘The Whale Rider’ pffft.” I don’t know whether it actually is or not, I enjoyed it – I just hate it when movies make my face leak.
The kind of week where the power went out for a few hours yesterday morning …as I thought I might bake. Whatevs, as my Pookie Soeur says.
But it was also the week where a woman from Massachusetts who takes regular Pound® classes at home didn’t want to go without, found us and showed up for Saturday morning’s class. And the two new women to Tuesday’s Anatomy of Bellydance class were excited about it for “all the right reasons” in my book.
Then, I also registered for a class I’ve been wanting to take for a while, but has been closed more than a year – and they sent an email two days ago saying registration was open again.
I finally mailed off packages to both my Pookie Frere and a dear Soul Sister. I’ve been meaning to send both packages for ages.
I accomplished (way) more than several things on both my weekly “to do” list and my over-all goals list. Paid bills, and got paid.
All of which felt ridiculously huge.
Oh – and I got called Fresh by a stranger when I was actually feeling good about how I looked.
<<<So, Insert Knuckle-bump to the Universe. Ya know?>>>
So yeah. All that.
Do you need a hug? ((((( Here, have this one. )))) 🙂
Next week, we’ve only got 4 days of PoundFitness® and NO Anatomy of Bellydance (A.o.B.). – Because of Independence Day. We will continue working on arms and hands throughout the months of July and August with a special emphasis on Emoting and Expression in September.
Again, no POUND® or Anatomy of Bellydance this week, as we take a break for the 4th of July.
Three of us have been getting together lately for supper on Sunday evenings, and enjoy a lime gimlet or two as we talk music and production for the: A Ghostly Cotillion: Theatrical Belly Dance Adventure at The Valiant Lounge and Theatre, set for October 7th.
I like looking forward to Sunday evenings.
What are you looking forward to?
The Happy Freyja’sDay Dance video from this morning is at the bottom of this post, & as always, I hope you dance along.
Until next time, I hope you get to spend time with people you love doing stuff that fills you up and brings you joy!
