As Jamie asks our souls each Wednesday to dare for our deepest wishes, so too do I ask you…. What Luxury do you wish for?

“You can be a maker of magic and a tender of wishes. It’s easy. Answer the wish prompt above on your blog and then add a direct link to your post in the box below. Support wishes by visiting other participants, leaving a comment saying “As (insert name) wishes for her/himself, so I wish for her/him also.” It’s that simple. There is great power in wishing together.”

At first my brain went to a big plush bed, big, tall mahogany sleigh bed with a curled over headboard and footboard, crisp white sheets and a thick comfy mattress….  Then my brain turned toward my dream bathroom (don’t we all have one?)  Tall ceiling, almost the feel of a solarium or atrium, high windows, a big round window with maybe some stained glass?  A large clawfooted tub… and yes, my dream bathroom would have a bidet ;-)

But then I remembered my current situation and I realized that the biggest luxury I wish for is freedom…

I simply wish for the luxury to do what I wish, when I wish… and all that encompasses.

“Shine, sweet freedom, shine the light on me …” Oh, how I hear you, sister.

As Shamsi wishes for herself, so I wish for her also.

As Shamsi wishes for herself, so I wish for her also!

May you have the freedom to do as you wish and the claw-foot tub too! :)

Here’s to FREEDOM!!! As you wish for yourself today, I wish for you also!!

A lovely simple but important wish, freedom. And I learned to appreciate a bidet while living in Europe for 12 years. Americans just don’t get it.

As Shamsi wishes for herself, so I wish for her as well!

As Shamsi wishes for herself, so I wish for her also.

May you relish your freedom while lying in a perfect bed, after having the perfect bath!

What a lovely photo of you too. Would you share what you are wearing with me? eh, your clothes are probably too long for me anyways ;)

Truly, from the bottom of my pinkie toe, and with all my might…
As Shamsi wishes for herself, so I wish for her also.

BTW, you described my ideal bedroom and bath. Why am I not surprised? Much love to you, sweetie!

I hear you on this one Shamsi, I really do, deep down isn’t this what we all want?
As Shamsi wishes for herself, so I truly wish for her and all of us.
Sending you blessings of freedom and of course a wonderful bed to sleep in and a beautiful nature inspired bath to relax in!

Hey Shamsi,

Freedom – real freedom – must be a universal wish. I think we all long for it. Perhaps, there is a way to be free or more free if we rethink how we live. When I think of all the stuff I bought during my corporate gig years, I’d have a bundle of mula in the bank. Almost all that stuff is waiting to be sold at a yard sale! The real irony.

I wish for you to be free, free, free!

Kavindra… I am 5’1″ on a good day… I’m the one who’s usually too short to wear other’s clothing :)

Actually, I could probably write a blog about the clothes I was wearing that day – the outfit was piecemealed a pink satiny modern camisole shell from one friend much taller :) A white lacey sheer Victoria’s Secret bathrobe from a friend about my height and last but the Pièce de résistance an antique cream and lace camisole jacket inherited by my dance teacher from her great aunt. None of it was mine :(

I have to agree completely Giuiletta.. I have been spending a great deal of time in the last couple of years trying to simplify my life so that I can have more freedom. I am still working on it, but I do agree, I too believe that “freedom is about re-thinking how we live…”

Yes, even I have a dream bathroom. It has a hot-tub big enough for two and a widescreen TV. :-)

But the freedom to wish, that’s more than just a luxury. That’s a necessity.

As Paula wishes for herself, so I wish for her also.

I’ve got that George Michael song “Freedom” running through my head ever since I read your post. Yours was the first I read (I pick as many as I can, read through them and then leave my comments)…. Anyways, As Shamsi wishes for herself, so do I Wish for her as well.
Freedom!!

Holly September 23, 2009 at 1:11 pm

FREEDOM! Let it ring!

Shamsi! This is nigh on a perfect wish! And as you wish this so rightly for yourself, I lovingly and with intention wish for it for you, also!

Pennie September 23, 2009 at 3:29 pm

As Shamsi wishes for herself, I joyfully wish for her also.

Owwww…sounds exactly like the bathroom I’d love to have. Ahhh…a nice hot soaking in a claw foot tub. May all your wishes come true. :)

A while ago I lay down on a bed in a posh bed store that was the most comfortable thing I’ve ever felt in my life. There is much to be said about a luxury bed! Can’t say I’m bothered about a bidet.

Freedom is a wonderful wish, may it come true for you Shamsi

Jennifer September 23, 2009 at 4:09 pm

Mmmmmmmm……. oh yeah!
All of it!

As Shamsi wishes, so do I wish for her too!

Lisa kewish September 23, 2009 at 5:48 pm

As Shamsi wishes for herself, so do I wish for her also!

Nothing like a comfy bed and a luxurious bath AND nothing like freedom to be, do or have what we truly desire.

kazari September 24, 2009 at 8:47 am

Here’s to a comfy bed, a dream bathroom AND the freedom to enjoy it!
As Shamsi wishes for herself,so I wish for her and all of us : )

Cindy Jones Lantier September 25, 2009 at 12:35 am

If you don’t have it, freedom is the ultimate wish! Even for those of us who are relatively free, I think the tendency is to wish for me. We can never be too free!

As Shamsi wishes for herself, so I do lovingly wish for her also!
